- Attend breakdowns, identify fault and solve, with minimal downtime to production.
- Use and operate hand tools and power tools and equipment required for the work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Read and interpret circuit diagrams of machineries.
- Makes regular checks of plant equipment and makes adjustments, repairs, and services equipment as required.
- Performs Preventive Maintenance as per the advice of In charge daily, weekly, monthly,quarterly,semi-annually and annually.
- Work independently in the absence of supervision.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the team members.
- Identify root cause of any breakdown & resolve.
- Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults and concerns to the Incharge.
- Assist with the moving, installation, repositioning of machines and equipment.
- Independently determine approach and assigned tasks.
- Skill in repairing and maintaining various types of steam plant equipment preferable.
